Terms of use
CivicScope is a free tool for following your government. Use it honestly.
Your account
- You need an account to use CivicScope. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- Give a real email address you can read, so you can reset your password.
- You can delete your account at any time from your Profile.
The information
- CivicScope collects public records from official sources and links every fact to where it came from. Sources can be late or wrong, and so can we. Check the official source before you rely on something, especially election dates and polling places.
- The bill analyst's summaries and answers are written by an AI model from the bill's text. They are not legal advice.
- CivicScope is not affiliated with any government agency, party or candidate.
Fair use
- Don't try to break, overload or scrape the service, or get into other people's accounts.
- Free plans have daily limits on some features, like questions to the bill analyst.
